Select TIFF files

From your phone, computer, or drag them here. TIF / TIFF · 50.0 MB per file · up to 5

The listed formats are accepted. Each file's structure is validated before conversion.

What will I receive?

TIFF to PDF

Each input image becomes one PDF page in the selected order. Transparency is flattened onto white. This creates a document from images, not selectable text or an OCR result.

Conversion limits

What limits apply?

Up to 5 files, 50 MB each. Encrypted files, animations and unsafe content are not accepted. Structural validation may reject a conversion.

Input and output expire automatically after the period shown in the converter. Download your result before then.

Practical guide

Turn single-page TIFF scans into an ordered PDF

A PDF can collect several TIF or TIFF scans in one document that is easier to review and deliver. Before converting, distinguish separate single-page files from one multipage TIFF, because Formotra accepts only the first case.

Arrange separate TIFF files before conversion

TIF and TIFF are two extensions for the same format and use this tool together. Each file must contain one image. A multipage TIFF is rejected as a whole: the converter does not silently take the first page or leave the remaining pages out.

You can select up to five compatible TIFF files. Each file becomes one PDF page, following the order shown in the list. Check that order before starting, especially when scanner-generated filenames do not describe their contents.

Understand what each PDF page contains

The image is placed on its own page without changing its proportions. Compatible transparency is flattened onto white. The PDF contains the visible scan and does not attach the source TIFF as a file that can later be recovered.

Converting a scan to PDF does not add detail or perform OCR. Letters remain part of an image; they do not become selectable, editable or searchable text.

Check legibility and the delivery format

Open the TIFF files first and inspect framing, orientation, contrast and small text. A PDF can organise the scans, but it cannot repair a cropped edge, a skewed page or an out-of-focus capture.

Keep the TIFF files as working masters. If you need a compatible image without photographic lossy compression, use TIFF to PNG. If the destination requires a lighter opaque copy, review TIFF to JPG and compare its quality.

Inspect the document before delivery

Go through every page in the download and confirm that none is missing or duplicated. Check the order, visible margins and legibility at the size at which the document will be viewed or printed.

Do not convert the PDF back to images merely to inspect it; open it directly. PDF to PNG is useful when the next task is to represent document pages as separate images, not to recover the original TIFF files.

Frequently asked questions

Can I convert a multipage TIFF?

No. Each file must contain one image. You can combine up to five separate TIFF files, but a multipage file is rejected in full.

Can I upload both TIF and TIFF files?

Yes. Both extensions use this page and go through the same content validation.

Will text in the scan become selectable in the PDF?

No. Each page contains an image of the scan; the tool does not perform OCR or reconstruct editable text.
