Practical guide
A PDF fixes the layout of a spreadsheet for reading, printing or sharing outside its editor. The result follows the print and visibility settings saved in the workbook, so review them in the XLSX before converting.
This tool accepts XLSX, not the older XLS format. Save the workbook after checking orientation, print area, visible sheets and any page setting that the final document should use.
Each input workbook produces its own PDF. Selecting several files does not merge them into one document. Clear filenames make it easier to match every download with its source spreadsheet.
A table wider than the saved print area can span several pages. Check that related columns remain readable and that page breaks do not remove the context needed to follow the information.
The PDF reflects the layout produced by the Office engine, but it cannot decide how your table should be printed. If pagination is unsuitable, correct the print area, orientation or scale in the XLSX, save it and create a new PDF.
Workbooks with macros or external relationships are rejected, and the Office process cannot open network connections. Conversion also does not verify that formulas, dates or amounts in the workbook are correct.
Review visible values before upload and check them again in the PDF. The result is a reading copy; it does not provide editable cells, formulas or filters.
Review every page, including expected sheets, headings, columns, fonts, decimal values and page breaks. An unavailable font or unsuitable print setting can change the layout even when the content remains visible.
Keep the XLSX for later changes. DOCX to PDF handles text documents and PPTX to PDF handles presentations; their structures do not replace the checks required for a spreadsheet.
